This isometric view takes place above the border of the Blendini Central and Shakertown neighborhoods. Where the view is less dense and more woodsy, you see Shakertown. Most of this drawing takes place in Blendini Central, though. Shakertown has pockets of density, while Blendini Central is a consistently dense neighborhood (while still preserving a lot of trees). The difference is that Shakertown feels like an urban neighborhood in the woods and Blendini Central feels more like an urban neighborhood with a lot of trees.

Variety is the spice of life in Blendini Central and Shakertown

You can see tons of variety in both neighborhoods. Variety is the spice of life in Blendini City! The busway network also makes an appearance. There are lots of buses and trams in the city to supplement the Metro and Regional train networks. It’s a good thing that the transit is robust because there is a lot of traffic that comes to patronize the businesses here and abundant housing for the locals.

Here is a list of all of the businesses and landmarks that appear in this drawing:

  • Blendini Central High School
  • Rosco’s Veggie Dogs
  • Tic Tac Toy (store and toy makers)
  • Teachers’ Village Affordable Apartments
  • Bo Bo’s Fun Center
  • Hardie’s Hardware
  • Grandma’s Medicine Cabinet Pharmacy
  • Artist Abode Apartments
  • First Library of Blendini City
  • House of Sushi
  • Beau Beau Blendonian Cuisine
  • Blendini Central Market
  • Star Lighting Company
  • Happy Friends Pub & Pool
  • Blendonia Wellness Center
  • Aura Apartments
  • Footlight Frenzy Theater
  • Sweetboro Ice Cream Factory

As you can see on this list, there’s a variety of places that coexist in the same general area. There’s a calm chaos to the vibe in this neighborhood. It feels active, but not too overwhelming. Part of this is because of smart traffic planning, and the balanced housing types. One great thing is that the Blendini Central High School is located in a vibrant part of the city, so students can walk to school and are exposed to a positive culture daily. The Central High School also has a student farm that participates in the Blendini Central Market. Making students a part of the local economy gives them a lot of skills and purpose.

Not enough credit is given to the abundance of housing types in these neighborhoods that are relatively affordable. I live in the Teachers’ Village Apartments next door. While sometimes I regret living right next to where I work, at the end of the day these apartments are extremely nice for how affordable they are. They aren’t luxurious, but I still feel connected to nature and I get a lot space. Everything works, and they are well-maintained. I’m saving up to buy a house, and I’m glad that I’ll stil be able to live in the same neighborhood.
