There is a culture in Blendini City that being on the jury is an honorable civic duty.

If you can muster it and don’t have a legitimate hardship, I encourage you to embrace the idea of getting selected and don’t try to get out of it. One factor in Blendini City that changes the paradigm is jurors being paid well AND getting mandatory paid time off from work. This allows for people serving on juries to completely focus on the trial at hand.

The right to a fair trial and assuming innocence until being proven guilty is a cornerstone of our society that you still have the power to preserve through participation.

Jurors go through a special bonding process throughout the trial they are sitting through. Through all of my observances as a judge for many years (I was formerly a judge and a courthouse) made me want to create a special lounge upon my retirement. I have come to tremendously respect the work that jurors do, and I always thought it was a shame that these great, diverse minds split up after the trial was over. Plus they deserve to be in a club after what they go through!
